Snipping Tool

Boooo!  I can not get this to work at all....I searched the computer, I searched online...I found one comment that said basic Vista would not work for the snipping tool and I do not have Windows 7....How do I get the snipping tool on my computer???? The video I watched about it and reading about it makes me want it on my laptop even more which makes it even more frustrating that I can't get it!!!! Any suggestions?

After looking even more...my computer does not support the snipping tool. I have Windows Vista (basic) and the snipping tool is not for this Windows. There goes that one I guess...but I was told Jing will allow me to "snip" so we'll see if I can get that to work.

Diigo

The assignment was to watch a film about Web 2.0 and answer a few questions.

To get started with social bookmarking you tag and share your bookmarks with friends. Comments can also be added to the page after highlighting a portion of the article to share your thoughts. By using social bookmarking you can see what others are interested in and if they are interested in the same thing. Diigo also allows people to message each other and share bookmarks to engage in conversations. Groups can also be made to center around a specific topic and build from each other's knowledge.

Web 2.0 is a lot different from previous stages of the web. Web 2.0 is much more interactive and much easier to use to share information with others. Not only is it easier to share but it helps keep all of the bookmarks organized. People are able to sort through the bookmarks by topic, which saves time and frustration.

Social bookmarking is new to me. I have not used it before, however, after watching the video about Diigo I can see that it will be very useful. Not only will I be able to share my bookmarks with others, I will be able to use others' bookmarks in order to obtain more information and ideas to assist in developing lessons, ideas, and most importantly more knowledge about certain topics. This social bookmarking tool allows us to do many things other sites does not allow, such as highlighting, commenting, sharing with friends, sorting by topic, sorting by interests, and more importantly allows us to join groups of interest and share in their ideas, comments and knowledge.

First Blog

So... I never really understood what the whole "blogging" thing was about, but looking ahead at this course I can see how it will keep things in order and be easier to talk about the assignments and all that...so by the end of this semester of class I am sure I will understand the "blogging" much better!
