Data Preparation

When looking at the categories in the Excel spreadsheet it was easy to come up with research questions. It may have been easier since the information was already there, however, I didn't look at all the data when determining my hypothesis, null hypothesis and even the research question. I want to use the spreadsheet to find the answer to the questions and not the other way around. Below are my research questions, hypothesis for each, and null hypothesis for each.

~Research questions #1:
Does the age of the student affect the Millenial score?
Dependent variable:
Millenial score
Independent variable:
age of student
Hypothesis:
The younger the student, the higher the Millenial score will be.
Null Hypothesis:
The younger the student, the lower the Millenial score will be.

~Research question #2
Does gender affect the number of discussion posts made?
Dependent variable:
Number of discussion posts
Independent variable:
gender
Hypothesis:
The female gender will have on average more discussion posts than the male gender.
Null Hypothesis:
The female gender will have on average less discussion posts than the male gender.
